Does anybody else enjoy his music? His 'A Black and White Night' is on PBS right now, and all the guitars are doing solos (the concert had guests including Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, and Jackson Brown). But besides that, I like a lot of his songs. They all seem very simple, but very unique.

Quite enjoyable music, imo.

Any body else have any opinions of him?

Roy Orbison was a hero, seriously he was a hugely talented man. I recently bought that new Traveling Wilburys box set and there's a documentary about his life and death, you should check it out Its a wonderful story. Also wilburys were awesome too.......

Seriously Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan.... What could possibly go wrong.

I just never really got the Roy Orbison thing.

Not my bag, but to each his own.

As a pure voice, yes. There may have been better at phrasing or interpreting, but to me his was the greatest voice.

I love his stuff! What a remarkable voice and fantastic ear! But such a shy, modest man. Here's to Roy! The world misses you!
