Need to come up with a playlist with about 50 songs for a group of average music listeners in the 27-40 age range for a new years eve party. The music tastes range but new country/rap/slow sleepy music will not be part of my list.
Care to suggest any songs that most AVERAGE people will like and perhaps even tap a few toes to?

You dig music, Darv. I'm sure that you'd lend an ear to any new sounds, even if they're old sounds. Not sure what the heck that means but anyway don't you agree that we are all always attached to what we heard when we were really getting to know what we actually liked?
I'm not tripping, really.
sure i sometimes go back and listen to the stuff i used to but there's also a lot of music in my collection that looking back now i can wonder how i ever liked that crap enough to actually voluntarily pay to hear it.
This is what i have so far...Deletions? Keep in mind..this isnt' a list for me..it's a list for the people at the party so that everyone gets a bit of what they want an no one is really offended by anything in particular.

About "Set you Free", I remember you posting it here a while back. Even disregarding the fact that I think it has aged horribly, it's a complete misfit with the rest of your tunes (same with Get Low).
Originally posted by uzlessWell, I think more breakish beats would help fit in better with more rock tunes. Rockafeller Skank is usually a winner. Something more to that effect.

Edit - If they want Gaga, give them Love Games and NEVER EVER the horrid Poker Face. Aguilera's Ain't no Other Man is the super tune to gets rumps shaking to the max after they have already started. So you need to fit them after something like Stefani (good transition from rock to pop) and some other rump shakers to make it work. So the order in your list needs working on too.
