Need to come up with a playlist with about 50 songs for a group of average music listeners in the 27-40 age range for a new years eve party. The music tastes range but new country/rap/slow sleepy music will not be part of my list.

Care to suggest any songs that most AVERAGE people will like and perhaps even tap a few toes to?

People tend to always favor what was popular when they were in high school or shortly after. Go back 12-15 years and use those songs circa 1992-1997...I guess a bunch of grunge and throw in some Chili Peppers and Metallicca.

Someone who is 40 was not in high school in the 90's. 😉

Guess you're right. Better end the list with songs released no later than 91. So I would say rock and popular danceable tunes released from 77-91.

You dig music, Darv. I'm sure that you'd lend an ear to any new sounds, even if they're old sounds. Not sure what the heck that means but anyway don't you agree that we are all always attached to what we heard when we were really getting to know what we actually liked?

I'm not tripping, really.
