Lois V Vierk's "Go Guitars" needs to be mentioned here.

Review by "Blue" Gene Tyranny

The word "go" can be translated from the Japanese as the number "five," and thus this composition is for five guitars playing repeated rhythms in slowly changing, sliding micro-intervals. Vierk uses her compositional technique based on "exponential structures" (for modulating time, pitch movement and rates of change) to create gradually building and gripping emotional tension. A fascinating and unique work in a soundworld of its own.

Has anyone have recollection of a track called "The Fool" by Quicksilver Messenger Service ?

But, hey you'd have to carbon date my birth certificate. So don't worry if you never heard of either.

Anyway, some of the best electric guitar in that genre I recall.

I would also be partial to John McCloughlin's "Mediterranian Concerto" was also nice.

I have one QMS album, but that track is not on it... (by the way, I'm 25)

The best electric guitar song is "Halleluhwah" by CAN.

Sadly, Gary Moore has been brought to mind. One of many electric guitar heroes.
