My first significant break through in Chess was playing in the Under 16 Munster Chess games with my local town Kilfinane back in 1992. At the tender age of 12, I was seen as the town's most gifted prodigy in chess. I was the game's equivalent of Mozart!
Unfortunately, by the time I was 15 local fame had taken its toll and I was often to be seen at the High Bridge stuffing my face with Cheese and Onion tayto's!!
