Can tournaments be continued to the next round once group winner has been mathmatically determined? The unfinished games could keeping going but there's no reason to hold up the next round if the winners are decided.

beautiful idea that everyone would be happy with.

but how achievable is it?

is there a very simple algorithm that can be applied?

can russ then apply that algorithm easily?

A condition that would be sufficient is when one poule member has more points than the others can reach by winning their remaining matches... obviously.

If this condition is not met, the winner of a poule cannot be determined. The winner can only be predicted (more or less). 😏
