Halladay indeed pitched a CG last night. Somebody give me a big pat on the back.

The Yankees already defeated this fragile fraud this year. He'll be on the DL by June 1st.

Cashman's decision to go with the young starters rather than trade for Santana isn't working out too well so far; Hughes and Kennedy are a combined 0-5 with bloated ERAs. Of course, Melky (who would have been included in the trade) has played very well so far both offensively and defensively, so that has to be factored in. If Hughes and/or Kennedy don't straighten out soon, Joba might have to go into the rotation in the near future.

Originally posted by PhlabibitThe Sux have used two starting pitchers in their rotation who have only slightly more experience than Hughes and Kennedy, Lester and Bucholtz. And they are only 1-3. If I recall correctly, Boston could have got Santana for one of them plus Ellsbury (who's hitting only .231) but passed (maybe other prospects were involved).
