Whatever dude, I don't really follow those boring sports, so the odd typo will slip in.

Some of hose guys get crazy money - much more than the cricket and rugby players. Like I said, here it's much more about the prestige of getting national colours.

If presented the opportunity to make a ton of money in exchange for their national prestige,
do you think that many, if not most, would jump at the opportunity?

We have seen it with Pele', with David Beckham and several others in soccer.

The many of the best hockey players come to the NHL.

There would be an exodus in cricket and rugby too, if those sports were played here.

So, perhaps they play for prestige, because that is the best they can get.

But then hockey, basketball and tennis would also have to be counted as "football". They, too, are played with a ball, by people who run about on their feet. So that criterium doesn't really work, does it?
