Well, let's see...the Tigers just shut out the White Sox, 5-0. They get their 11th in a row, and Verlander gets his 23rd win (also his 11th in a row). And the Phillies? It seems they lost to the worst team in baseball. Again. That's their third loss in a row.

So if the Tigers meet up in the Series with the Phillies, I'll take that bet.
you got it

I thought it was interesting that the Tigers have won their 11th in a row and that Verlander has won his 11th consecutive start, while they're wearing a patch on their sleeves with the number '11' to commemorate Sparky Anderson. I hope it doesn't mean that's the end of each streak.

oh man...now you have done it.

The jinx of all jinxes.... the famed 11/11/11 jinx.

Now the streak will end, Verlander's arm will fall off and Sparky Anderson will remain dead.

See? It has already started....Sparky is still dead!!!! 😉😛

Plus Victor Martinez had the big hit of the night with his 11th home run. We've got our work cut out for us with Penny on the mound. One thing to look forward to with the end of the season is that we'll be rid of his rotting carcass.

Guess who rallied from three runs down in the 9th to get their twelfth consecutive win? It wasn't the Phillies, although they did manage to finally beat the worst team in baseball.

Home runs by Raburn and Avila. Tigers win in 10 innings.

You are making my bet look too good!!! I hope they win the next 20.
Then you will want to double me up.

Even a team of destiny can't win 'em all. That was our longest winning streak since 1934.

I applaud your team spirit and your positive outlook.

I am sorry that those two things do not make championships however.

Don't bet your house on the Tigers to win it all.
For your sake, I hope they do, but the smart money says otherwise.

Of course. With eight teams in the playoffs, there's only a 12.5% chance that any one of them will win the World Series.

Tigers are the AL Central champs. Our first divisional championship since 1987.

Standing in line today for world series tickets in Kansas City.
The way they beat the hell out of the monster team Detroit 10-2,
you would figure they are odds on favorites to win it all!!

😉😛

I guess KC might be Detroit's Astros!!
