There are no numbers in the Bible, but some people divide the
Commandments differently. Some consider the 'Covet wife' and
'Covet stuff' instructions to be a single Commandment (#10) and
divide Commandment #1 into two (I forget precisely how, but it's
pretty redundant as I recall, but so what?).

Fair enough- so what. But I object to dumbing down generally, so when some fundy eejit writes that commandment nine is "You shall not lie", or "Would yous ever stop all dat murdering!" I think they are doing the Almighty a disservice worthy of a serious smiting.
RB, I have a question that came up last night when I was at church (of all things). I heard someone say that "the mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds. I don't care that they have found a smaller seed. Jesus said it was the smallest so it must be so."

LOL. Your true stories are the best. This wasn't by chance the same guy who refuses to drink root beer, was it?

I agree with your objection stated here -- about dumbing down.
But I was merely pointing out that your other objection -- about the
'traditional numbering' really isn't legitimate, since Romans and
(some) Protestants number them differently, the latter tending
towards the numbering as per the site.
Of course you are quite right- On numbers an ordering I was being a little reactionary to a certain way of thinking by certain people. But that would lead off topic, so I won't bore you with it here.

Unfortunately not, I'm afraid. The "wealth" seems to be spread around to many here. Tell me something. If you participate in the photo contest, which picture do you think best typifies the area where this kind of stuff happens?

Harsh, but fair.
