Atheists would never kill 99.999999% of the population just because this precious god of yours thought they were wicked. Not to mention every land animal too. So tell me oh wise one, why would he have to kill millions if not billions of beings not human because some humans were having too ...[text shortened]... someone here?

You and Dasa should get married, then you could blog blog blog all day long.
There you go again sounding like a spoiled child telling his parent
what he should do and then, even getting angry at someone else
for not agreeing with you. After 70 years you should see God's
ways are higher than our ways. It is absurd for you, a mere
creature to be telling the creator of the universe, who obviously
has greater intelligence than all of us put together, that he is doing
things all wrong and He should not do something because you
think it is wrong. Could anyone be more arrogant than that?

I made no caricature, asinine or otherwise. The scripture you refer to clearly details a supposedly merciful god eradicating the entire population of the planet with the exception of one man and his immediate family in order, you yourself asserted, to teach them a lesson.

Now, you will notice that despite your provocation, I have resisted the tem al reading of the old testament and besides, I find myself indifferent to your opinion of me.
You seem to be just as childish and arrogant as sonhouse.

P.S. I though jaywill explained everything as kindly as he could and
you took as an insult that he disagreed with you.

I am entirely happy that you find me 'as childish and arrogant' as sonhouse. I would be somewhat disturbed if you voiced any kind of positive opinion of me.

PS I am not surprised that you were unable to discern the insults in Jaywill's post.

It appears to me that his questions must of had a ring of truth in
them, but you did not learn the lesson that was being taught. You
considered them as only insults against your faimily, which was not
the point. And I do not have the words to explain it better.

Jaywill is far more capable than you of explaining his beliefs and position, and you appear to have missed much in both his posts and mine. Rather than trying to wade in and defend him in your rather clumsy and offensive manner, why not instead consider the point I have been making and respond to that instead?

The choice to kill is up to each person.

But to teach children to kill is abominable.
What do you think about eating animals that die a natural death?

I will accept that criticism for I know I am not an eloquent writer.
I hope I spelled those big words correctly.

There is no sin for persons to eat the animal if it meets a natural death.

Persons who follow true religion do not eat meat under any conditions because it is low class.

True spirituality raises the consciousness of the person and they refrain from many activities that are normally accepted by the majority.

This occurs because the person living the TRUE spiritual life is always experiencing a higher taste from within and do not desire the lower activities of the materialists.

The devotee genuinely looses desire for sense gratification.

Persons following false religion do not experience the higher taste and they are still attracted to the objects of the sense.

Mankind in general. Yes, even those that drowned. There will be
a general ressurrection for all the dead to face judgment.

So God teaches 99.9% of mankind a lesson and never allows them to put this new knowledge into practise? What kind of sadist is he?

the whole Ark thing was pointless wasnt it?

I have explained numerous times how dead bodies stay dead once they are dead.

They then rot and turn to dust and blow away in the wind.

This is not difficult to understand.

For Christians to accept falsity so blatantly is very disturbing.

The soul leaves the body upon death and takes another birth.

Christianity does not have knowledge of these things because it was fabricated by meat eaters for meat eaters and is devoid of knowledge.

At least raise the bar and leave falsity where you find it.

I find it odd that your idea of a merciful God is one who simply looks ...[text shortened]... ment.

But hey, to each his own. Go worship the gods of absolute permissiveness.[/b]
I wonder if your father was a moral whimp. Did you ever get your butt strapped for screwing up ??? Did he mercifully allow you to do anything you wanted ALL the time ??? No matter HOW bad ???

Your missing one crucial component here, and it makes your analogy fall flat on it's proverbial arse. avalanchethecat's dad is highly likely not omniscient or omnipotent as your God supposedly is.

Perhaps Satan is influencing you?
You have turned more people away from god than anyone I know!

And those voices in your head ... can you be sure who they are from?

Thinking about it .. maybe the bible is Satan's work - badly written and contradictory in order to deter people! .............
