I did not think they considered it a religion
or were concerned about spirituality. So
why are they on here? Does anyone know?
If there are any atheist reading this, please
get off of this forum and stop harassing us.
Our dear atheist friends need guidance, poor things need every scrap of scripture
they can get their hands upon. They are sheep without a shepherd and we should
be patient with them.
I do understand your concerns though, for it has frustrated me at times as well, this
constant non spirituality, this tearing down of another's faith with nothing
substantive nor constructive having been proffered in its place. In the past we had
some great discussions among those professing to be Christian, Jaywill and Epi,
Manny, G-man, Rajk, Deucer, Zahlanzi and I had a mega discussions on the trinity,
hell fire, Michael the archangel. the resurrection, the nature of the soul, Christs
prophecy's, headship arrangement, the great flood etc etc and scriptures were
being looked at in depth, the Greek and Hebrew text examined to find their nuances
and how these have a bearing on our understanding.
It should be noted that there are two types of Atheists, those which profess a
spirituality in some form or another but no belief in God, from these are the
Buddhists and others and those who are base materialists and who profess nothing
and try to reduce everything to a materialistic explanation and see religion as an
essentially destructive force, citing wars and assimilation of pagan cultures through
conversion, decadence of organisations etc. The former are the most excellent, for
one can find at least some common ground and exchange ideas and principles,
these latter are the most bitter and inconsolable and need to be treated with a little
caution for they are unable to see anything good from developing ones own
spirituality.
