I don't think that answered the question. I provided context after it. I guess I'll rephrase it.

I answered with Romans 5:20, which is essentially saying that grace abounds more than sin, and that's a good thing too because without grace we would die in our sins.
I might add also 8:38,39 as a companion reference to complete the thought.

I'm not sure what that question means, or for that matter what you mean by it necessarily, but I think grace is both.
Paul speaks extensively about grace in all his epistles. Grace is everything. Without grace there would be no salvation nor would we know how to live the Christian life.
