We are all slaves to a master.

But you don't expect them to worship you, neither I suspect will you subject them to eternal torment if they don't comply.

Actually, this starts to make hitler sound like a nice guy by comparison.

Analogies are limited in application. The point was - who are we to complain? God, the Almighty and Creator of the whole universe decided to make us out of the dust of the earth. What gives us the right to criticize God? It's hubris on an infinite scale to whine at God for making the world as He has. It's the clay complaining to the potter.

What a load of crap. Of course we have the right to complain. What you are saying is analogous to supporting child abuse, because what right does the child have to complain at being sexually exploited by their father?

What do you think you are complaining about, that you are the way
you are by your choice? A child being attacked by another is different,
but the way you are is simply that, the way you are.

Nope. My child is not something I have created and can do with any way I want. My child is also a fellow human being. But God created us and formed us. We are not little gods or even close to being little gods.

You don't like my analogy - that's fine. The analogy still works as intended - and still coveys the truth of our situation. We do not have any right to complain. You want that right, but you don't have it. For you to have any right to complain, you'd have to be a god, with the knowledge of a god, and the wisdom, and the ability to judge as a god. You either think too highly of yourself, or your image of God is too small.

Oh, what snivelling! God gave you a mouth to complain, didn't he? If he didn't want people complaining, he could have
a) just created them to be happy
b) made a better job on the planet, I mean what was he thinking with AIDS?
c) removed all penalties for complaining, I mean, can't he take a little criticism.

This God of yours sounds like a whiner who can't take criticism.

[edit; as for your child not being your creation, well, you do know where babies come from, right?]

No, I'm simply saying, if there is a God, that we of course have a right to complain.

You seem to be under the impression that God owes you something. I think you have things completely backward.

Nope. 🙂

I'm asking again, what are you complaining about, to God I guess
I'm asking about. It seems to me that the things we complain most
about are those things we do, which makes complaining to God about
our choices some what, well not wise. You have the ability to do a lot
of things, not all of them you have the right to do.

I've given the answer to "why not".

You have merely said "of course we have the right".

Why do we have the right?
