Are you suggesting that Christians should not pray to the Lord Jesus Christ ?
Paul prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ three times to have a thorn in the flesh removed.
Stephen was stoned calling on the Lord and praying to Jesus.

In fact what did Christ state, Matthew chapter six verse nine, Our father, hallowed by
my name? nope hallowed be your name! Both Paul and Jesus entreated or petitioned
the Christ.

I call on the Father and I call upon the Son. The prayer in Matthew is not a legality to follow mehanically.
IT is a good model. And praying the Lord Jesus is absolutely splendid. There is no sin in it. It is quite glorious.

They do not believe Jesus died for man's sin. But they do honor
Him as a great spiritual teacher. They believe the Bible along with
the writings of Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, Lao and the Vedas
and Upanishads are sources of revelation and have each given man
something toward his religious growth and development, although
none of these writings are infallible; and they accept evolution.
