You're all talking rubbish, I'll tell you all why.
No one goes to heaven and no one's going to fry.
Six feet of earth is all you get when you die.
There's no great big spirit up there in the sky.

The world could be filled with laughter instead of only pain.
But humans are selfish creatures, all out for personal gain.
None have any answers and none have any proof,
that there is much really up there much higher than the roof.

So whether you're a Christian, a Muslim or a Jew.
Please use the common sense that I know you have in you.
There won't be any paradise, there won't be any hell.
There is no great reward for any martyr that ever fell.

There is only hatred and greed and selfish lust.
I hope one day we might change for I tell you that we must.
I don't know what you expect to see, a Messiah or a beast,
we all must offer kindness to the greatest and the least.

If you follow my simple code of kindness then you will see,
how great the family of humanity can really truly be.
For pity's sake stop arguing over that which is not there.
For religion is about control and about you it does not care.

When will you see the logic beside the foolishness you grasp?
When will you discover truth as you breathe in your last gasp?
We must all help each other to become better than what we are.
The simple truth is right in front of you, it's really not that far.

Don't exaggerate. It's not full yet. There are still a few inches at the top that we can fill up.

So how do you feel about New Age/Paganism stuff. Spirituality? Cult? Feminism with flair?

Throwing out the rubbish
leaves a space behind,
Now looking even closer
nothing you might find.

But is it really nothing
or is it in your head?
Sure, no-one's gunna fry
But hear what Buddha said.

We only know the nothing
by knowing something too.
Life and death are passing
And are you really you?

He said this is a question
for suffering and life
See, each depends on other
and separation causes strife.

If you find yourself too sure
too solid things turn bad,
but if you walk the middle
there's liberation to be had.

Who is right or wrong
by living out their dreams?
Even you so sure
will flounder in extremes.

So sit quietly and reflect
and see a mirror clear,
in what you see right there
you'll find the truth quite near.

Life is like a dream
And Buddha says, awake!
You and all are one
Lose self, and lose your ache!

Inside that nothing
lies a quantum vacuum for sure
buzzing with life on a tiny scale
we can't see it always will we fail

That emptiness we see inside
is roiling with energy narrow and wide
it takes turns being that way
makes you kind of lurk and then sway

but don't you fret just play your harp
sit on the bank and catch a carp
fry up some corn drink down some brew
Hell, just invite the whole dam crew

contemplate nothing which is not nothing at all
Something might pop up right in the hall
the chance is quite small but definitely there
the hall might spit out a furry cat ball hair

the chances are of course unlikely
it could happen just not this nightly
all the air could bunch up in a corner
what would that do to little jack horner?

That is a nice poem. I guess it has a chance of being true. But I have a greater hope than that, the same hope that the apostles of Jesus wrote about. Who wrote the poem?

I write all my own rhymes.

If I ever wrote someone else's rhyme I would credit the author.

People would know anyway if the rhyme wasn't mine.

Yes, unlike you, we actually site authors and our poems are ours, bad as they are.

Just to clarify, for the uninitiated "r.m.l." is Taoman. I have used my moniker before. (Because there are some comments re authorship.)

Ah, the very emptiness/form paradox of Zen—

Deep in the quantum vacuum,
I still hear Buddha laugh.

Deep in the Buddha’s laughter,
the quantum emptiness echoes.

There is a heaven.
There is a hell.
Those who are there
know it well.

Christ came to save.
On the cross He died.
The justice of God
is now satisfied.

You have a choice
to believe on His Son,
or accept the other
when your life is done.

There is a heaven.
There is a hell.
Those who are there
know it well.
