There is a song that Christians have enjoyed that has a line.

"There is a fountain filled with blood
    Drawn from Emmanuel's veins.
And sinners plunge beneath the flood
And lose all their guilty stains."

Why did Christians compose such a beloved song ?
I bet you I can tell you why some !

    It sounds a little Klingon.

    Whatever your sins have been.
The blood of Christ's redemption cleanses them away.
    They are forgotten before God.

And when God forgets something it is really GONE.

When God says "Their sins and their iniquities I will by no means remember any more" they are GONE.

But more than that. The effect of Christ's redemption on the human conscience is a continuous flow of peace and pardon. So continual is this peace that the poet wrote of the "fountain filled with blood".

But he also had biblical ground for the poetic expression.
Some of you have seen it. God said He would upon up a fountain for transgressions and iniquities to the house of Israel.

"In that day there will be an opened FOUNTAIN for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, FOR SIN AND FOR IMPURITY." (Zechariah 13:1)

We Christians believe that is a prophecy of the wounded side of Jesus the Son of God who died His redemptive death on the cross for the sins of the world.

For someone who is very preoccupied with TV entertainment it may sound "Klingon" whatever that is.

For those who are overjoyed that supernaturally peace has flooded their hearts because they know that they know that they know God has forgiven them, they're amazed at God's faithfulness.

The amazement of the flow of peace is often found in songs.

"His Spirit answers to the blood and tells me I am born of God."

That is another line from a classic Christian hymn.

    So also:

"The cleansing stream I see, I see
And Praise the Lord it cleanses me.
It cleanses me, yes cleanses me!"

It is not self manufactured. It is the amazement of the revelation that
one is cleansed eternally by the faithfulness of God.

God is Faithful and Just to forgive every soul that comes to Him through Jesus Christ. It is a matter of His righteousness that He forgive and forget our sins.

In fact God is RIGHTEOUS to do so.
If we trust in Jesus death and God would not forgive us
it would be unrighteous of Him not to do so.

Whether He likes me or does not like me -
He is righteous to forgive me.
He is JUST to forgive me.

"He is faithful and JUST to forgive us our sins"

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Klingons drink blood wine. As you appear fixated on the stuff, you'd get along swimmingly. (In blood, if that's your preference).

    Fixated?

God became a man and as much as it is humanly possible to understand,
came under divine wrath and atoned for our sins.

I am forever grateful and thankful.
For I could not justify myself before God.

This is a firm foundation for union with God.
This is a grand beginning to the start and continuation of a new life
centered on God and lived through Him.

The atheist has NOTHING in comparison as a good fortune to have.

Perhaps the Klingons have a “fountain of blood” in their crew cafeteria...?

I wonder what type of fountain the “fountain of blood” is...

Maybe is a massive civic monument like the Trevi Fountain which is filled with a never ending supply of 40,000 litres of Jesus blood on a sort of recycling system.

You spend half your existence talking about consuming God in one form or another. I find it distinctly cannibalistic.

Maybe you scoff at "fountain filled with blood" because you have never known the power of Christ's redemption.

Maybe you scoff at it because you do not have the pervading peace with God and assurance of redemption because perhaps you just have a humanistic admiration for Jesus. Yet the thought of the died and risen Lord Jesus is "below" your intellect.

    Could that be?
You jeer and scoff because you are not forgiven yet?
You're maybe still hoping to justify yourself before God with no need for the Lamb of God to take away your sins?

None of those. I scoff at it because it’s non-biblical man-made invested phrase which in contrary to biblical descriptions of the blood of Christ and OT references.

Furthermore you only reintroduced the notion because you’re attention seeking and trolling the forum was this previously debunked nonsense.
