(Ancient) wisdom tells us to be wary of technology. Of course you can use it to enhance your life but apparently there are traps to entrusting our future with it.
Ever heard what's going on with "anti-bacterial" handwash lately?

That has nothing to do with technology. That has to do with capitalism and a conflict between what is good for you and what someone can sell you. It is also related to overcompensation. We intuitively know that dirty disease ridden stuff is bad for us, and we over compensate and go for super clean - which is also bad for us.

I say so. Be wary.
I perceive you to be a decent enough person, but your opinions expressed in here seem to arise from your wish-washy pseudo-hippy-guitar-man persona and slightly pretentious live-and-let-live world view, which I find a complete anathema.
Edit I'm asking you a serious question: what "ancient wisdom" are you referring to, or is it another vibe from the Rizzla pack?

I agree that antibacterial soaps are a bad idea. But they are not technology. So no, I am not 'kinda agreeing'. You used antibacterial soaps to make a claim about technology. You were wrong to do so. You also claimed to draw on 'ancient wisdom' when in reality you probably just made it up.

Did they need it? Are they happier for it?

I used to live near a couple of Amish towns, and yes they live a plain and simple life, and
yes they avoid a lot of modern technology, not sure where else you'd get that at.
