Can't see anything about the Pharisees being very righteous
"The Pharisees also maintained that an after-life existed and that God punished the wicked and rewarded the righteous in the world to come. They also believed in a messiah who would herald an era of world peace."

It's ok if you just acknowledge that you used a wrong word...

As to the Law, a Pharisee.
Continuing to make a pile of nonsensical statements as if they are in the Bible.
So you could stay with your ridiculous opinion about the Pharisees being VERY RIGHTEOUS.
I will stay with what Jesus said:
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye are like unto whited sepulchres,
which indeed appear beautiful outward,
but are within full of dead men's bones,
and of all uncleanness.
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men,
but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
(Matthew 23:27-28 KJV)
If you call that VERY RIGHTEOUS, then your standard of righteousness must be in the gutter.

You quote it yourself and can't see it.

The key here is that they only "outwardly appear righteous unto men" while the reality is that they "are full of hypocrisy and iniquity". This means that they weren't really righteous. They only appeared to be righteous.
What's amazing is that you quote it and accuse rajk999 of not being able to see it when you're the one who is blind.

Hey, blind man. You stole my point.

How would you know if a person who appears to be righteous really isn't? Your theology is built around apparent righteousness.
I dont care to know who is and who is not righteous
Why do you care to know that?

The key phrase is "outwardly appear righteous unto men". The Pharisees believed that they understood the will of God and were able to convince people that they understood the will of God. If you've paid attention to all the things that Jesus said to and about the Pharisees, then you should know that they didn't know the will of God. They didn't understand what it truly meant to be righteous. The bottom line is that they weren't really righteous.
Understand?
