Hey moderate Christians; is Eladar an example of what God wanted to happen by having his Word being so vague?
Let me try to be clear about this.
Eladar doesn't speak for Christians, except maybe the most troglodyte varieties, most recently seen here by the likes of RJH. I'm talking about the fundamentalist, literalist, unwilling to believe the facts of their own education in favor of the ingrained mindset of the far right "religious right". I've told him before to try to contain himself to reality, since there is no one on these forums he speaks for besides himself, and yet he seems perfectly willing to present Christianity in the worst light possible.
The Bible is not 'vague'. It presents its message with clarity and veracity. That people like Eladar use it in this way to present his own message of hate is unconscionable. It is when people start using it to promote their own ungodly agendas that I take issue with it. "Interpretation" is one thing, but when one uses this loophole to promote hate is when one runs off the rails and starts pushing a hateful agenda, in total defiance of God's intent.
TL; DR
Eladar speaks for no one in this forum except himself. He clearly does not speak for me, and I would defy you to show me one Christian who is willing to claim that his message of hate does speak for them. His fundamentalist, hateful views are his alone, and he needs to stop quoting scripture to support his views because his kind of hate speech is not supported by scripture, nor by God. It does Christians, and Christ, no favors.
