Never a Man Spoke Like This

Once the Pharisees sent out officers to arrest Jesus, but they returned empty-handed, saying, "Never a man spoke like this man."(John 7:46) Look at His words: "I am the way, the truth and the life. I am the resurrection and the life. He than believes on me has everlasting life. He that has seen me has seen the Father. I am the light of the world." Never a man spoke like this Man, because this was no ordinary man. This was God in human form, and He came to this earth to destroy the power of death. If we know this, if we have experienced His power in our lives, if we have been saved from death, then how can we not say with the disciples, "We cannot but speak that which we have seen and heard!"? There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

David Koresh believed he was Jesus Christ, returned to Earth.

Who is to say he wasn't?

The end would have come then.

But the whole would will know when Christ returns. There will be a loud sound.

I figured the screams of 75 people burning to death was pretty loud.

Like that? Or do you mean something else entirely?

Koresh was getting people to die for him. With Christ it was the other way round.

I'm not so sure. It was a pretty dangerous undertaking to be associated with Jesus, was it not?

Leviticus 11:19 is the specific passage. 11:13 gives context.

11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls ; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

...yet more birds you can't eat (sorry)...

11:19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat

So because bats were formerly classified under the general category of winged animals, i.e., birds, and were later re-classified Chiroptera, that somehow invalidates the accuracy of the word of God? You can do better than that, I'm certain. PLEASE do better than that.

Bats are mammals, not birds. Birds are a completely seperate phylum. You'd think God might know that.

Again, because God was speaking to man, who, at the time, classified flying (and other winged animals) as birds, God instead should have classifed them for him? This makes sense to who, exactly?

ah, so basically understanding is crap when we don't hear something we don't want to (i.e. something contradictory, something god got wrong), but perfect when we do.
