Are you referring to purgatory or hell?

The whole "Good Book" is actually the "Greatest Lie Ever Told." Not just "that part of it."

I think the Catholic church finally admitted there's no Limbo or purgatory.

So what about all that energy spent on getting relatives through limbo or out of purgatory? Have these people been conned?

So you're saying it was just a scam for a church to extract the means to keep it going for the superstitious? But that's so unethical! So ... so ... so ... devilish.

Limbo was never an official doctrine of the Church. It was speculated upon
because the Church had difficulty reconciling the idea that the unbaptized
could be saved, so this was their solution. But it was never ratified. As they
further refined their doctrine of salvation, the decided that Limbo was an
untenable theory and rejected it.

Purgatory is an official teaching of the Church. The roots of Purgatory are
nearly as old as Christianity itself, with references to praying for the souls of
the departed going back to the second century. As the Church maintains that
She cannot err in official pronouncements of faith, She cannot repeal it.
However, She can modify Her understanding of it. The first usage of the
notion purgatorium (if memory serves) comes from Pope Gregory the
Great, but only as a vaguely defined intermediate location between death
and Paradise. The reason it arose was because it seemed unjust to the
Church that those who lived evil lives received identical eternal rewards as
those who lived good lives, that there had to be a period of atonement
commensurate with the life led. It wasn't until the 12th-13th century that
the idea that certain sins equated with certain 'wait times' in Purgatory, and,
consequently that certain prayers/donations remitted that time.

The Church since has returned to a vaguer understanding of Purgatory,
recanting of the 'wait times' and 'sin charts.' But She still maintains that
Purgatory still exists and that all ultimately headed to Paradise will have
to experience it. What that experience specifically consists of, the Church
doesn't say.

No existance of limbo, does this mean that an unbabtized child is sent to hell, per automatica, because it is not saved?

no unbaptised child goes to hell in my view only the unforgiven go, and since no child has commited a sin god will not send anyone thier. the sin of original which is pushed would include all the prophets before christ, we baptise into the christian faith, but faith is allways been here, its just we accept jesus as the saviour which is awaited for by the jewish faith.

The difference between your posts and Nemesio's is that Nemesio manages to compress large volumes of useful and interesting information into short clear paragraphs.
You on the other hand tend to write long disjointed posts with very little actual content visible to the unassisted eye (i.e. without the benefit of the Holy Spirits guiding hand).

It took you three paragraphs (not to mention the 7 question marks, 5 exclamation marks, repeated letters and capitals), to sarcastically say "I'm bored because your post is so long."

Nemesio on the other hand managed to use three paragraphs to give us a summary of the history of Limbo and Purgatory in the Catholic Church as well as an understanding of why they were invented and why they won't go away very easily.

If there is a belief that all sins must be justly punished at some point, then is it the case that some sins are unjustly punished ie hell being an infinitely horrible punishment must be in excess of any possible just punishment for the sins committed.

Also, is there a place similar to purgatory where those of little faith, but good character, such as I, can get my just rewards before passing on to hell?
