Well Duh, so-called Christianity wasn't started by Christ, or Jesu
or whatver you want to call him. It was started by Paul that
dude having one too many hallucinations in the desert. You get
enough wavy horizons in the deep desert and you would hallucinate
too, just so happened he wanted to start a religion that would fly
in Rome. In Rome you don't start a religion without miracles.
Jesus did not preach miracles, he preached equality.
Paul could not sell equality to Rome, it had to be rife with miraculous
recoveries and other bogus crap miracles so, boing, Chrisitanity
all of a sudden had miracles and the rest is unfortunately history.

Yes. It has always amused me that so many things in the bible like

- thou shallt not kill and
- turn the other cheek

Are so blatantly disregarded by the most faithful of Christians in the US, yet the non-religious types (the hippies and the socialists) do seem to follow what the bible says.

How bloody ironic is that?

Also, Jesus talks about sharing, and giving to the poor, and says money is the root of all evil, do right-wingers in the USA obey these teachings?

You assume they don't??

You're just putting out stereotypes - straw men to shoot down.

I thought you knee-jerk liberal tree-huggers considered stereotypes as politically incorrect - it's not right to judge people based on stereotypes.

Indeed, such irony, and besides, Jesus could be considered a tree hugger too, somewhere he says he loves "all living things", and BTW, trees are alive, so you are a heathen...

The words " thou shallt not kill" are more accurately translated " thou shallt not murder" ...there is a big difference. One has to do a little biblical research to find some of these answers.
