Is the Holocaust Mentioned in the Bible?

Given how significant the Holocaust was in Jewish history, is the Holocaust mentioned in any Biblical prophecies? Since most Biblical prophecies directly concern the Jews, is there any mention of this major event?

Not yet. But it will. Biblical prophesies tend to get written after the fact.

There are several parts of the prophecy of Daniel and of Revelation [in fact all of the prophets incl Isaiah, Ezekiel] that people have interpreted to show that the Jews will be persecuted continually until they go back and reoccupy their homeland in 1948, The greatest persecution was the holocaust and immediately after that the land of Palestine was given by the British [and others] to the Jews.

Some people have interpreted Isaiah 3 and Jeremiah 30 as referring to the WWII Hitler Holocaust, especially since Jeremiah 3o also speaks of the restoration of Israel and Judah. It was a result of the Holocaust that a homeland was established by the British for the Jews. And there is other prophecies that speak of dry bones being rebuilt with flesh and coming to life and a nation born in a day.

..."I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it." Now these are the words that the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah.

“For thus says the Lord:

‘We have heard a voice of trembling,
Of fear, and not of peace.
Ask now, and see,
Whether a man is ever in labor with child?

Could the "CRUEL ONE" be Hitler?

The above is believed by some to fit how both the men and women were striped of all their possessions, even their clothes, so their private parts were exposed, and the women's heads were shaved so they were bald, and then killed so their bodies gave off a stench. But it is all a matter of interpretation as to what you want to apply it to, since no date as to when this was to happen is specifically given.

You have to want to see it in the Bible.

One interpretation of 1 Samuel 16 that I have seen is that the suffering will be done by Israel, and then a descendent of David will ascend to the throne and his house will reign forever. One can interpret the holocaust as the almost overwhelming climax of that suffering and so the time is ripe for the throne prophesy to be fulfilled.

I believe if one does not want to see the fulfillment of any prophecy in the Holy Bible he will not see it.

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.

Some say Isaiah foretold the re-birth of Israel in one day

“Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things?
Can a land be born in one day?
Can a nation be brought forth all at once?

In Ezekiel 37 the LORD is giving the Prophet Ezekiel a vision of a valley that is full of bones. These bones were once people, the people of Israel. Israel has been dead so long that the bones are now dry. There is no sign of life in these people.

The LORD told Ezekiel to prophecy to these bones and hear His words. Now this shows us that the bones are not a physically dead people, because one does not prophesy to dead people or their bones. Dead people cannot hear, so we know this is symbolic. The LORD is equating the condition of Israel with that of dead, dry bones in a valley.

Are we seeing the fulfillment of the prophecy in Ezekiel 37 in Israel today?

The LORD tells Ezekiel why He is going to bring the house of Israel back to their own land from among the nations to which He scattered them. And why He scattered them among the nations and judged them by pouring out His fury on them.

“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Because the enemy has said of you, ‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,’”’ therefore prophesy, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people” — therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.”
