Atheists use the theory of evolution as a weapon against God.
The evolutionists point to the fossil records as proof of evolution. But the
assumption of evolution is used to arrange the sequence of the fossils,
then the resulting sequence is given as proof of evolution. A case of
circular reasoning. The geologic column is an idea that exists in the
minds of evolutionary geologists and not an actual column of rocks that
can be observed at a particular locality. Real rock formations are
characterized by gaps and reversals of this imaginary ideal sequence.
Fossils are found too low in the geologic column, before they were
supposed to have evolved, and others too high.

There are places in Arizona and Rhodesia where dinosaur pictographs
have been found drawn on cave or canyon walls. Archaologists have found
pottery with etchings of the five-toed llamas on it. Five-toed llamas are
alleged to have become extinct about 30 million years ago. There is an
ancient Mayan relief sculpture of a bird resembling the Archaeopteryz,
which allegedly became extinct about 130 million years ago. According to
evolutionary geologist, trilobites became extinct about 230 million years
before man appeared, yet they found fossils of seversl trilobites in the
fossilized, sandaled footprint of a man. There is other evidence that you
can see in person at the Creation Evidence Museum in Texas.

Anyone else have any information they would like to contibute to destroy
this evolution idea?

Well, there is a basic anthropological question at stake here, to what extent can you interpret mural etchings from extinct cultures as deliberate drawings of features of actual life? In this case, how do you know that a Mayan sculpture was really modelled on the Archaeopteryx? More likely, the Mayans simply sculpted a terrifying bird which coincidentally resembled what paleontologists have identified as the Archaeopteryx.

I'd like to ask if there are any theists posting here who believe biological evolution occurred, even if guided by God and with a special role for humans? Or, alternatively, who believe that they are free in their faith to believe either version of this story?

That could be true, but when you consider all the evidence, the
the case builds up against it. So I believe with the right lawyer and
a little more evidence, the judge would rule against evolution.

I am unconvinced. Do you have images of these sculptures and the Archaeopteryx for us to compare? How anatomically accurate can a sculpture be anyway?

I am a theist. I believe that biological evolution did occur but not as a random process. I believe that there is a Design involved. I also believe that there is no single source/ origin of all living things.

This has been tried many times in the US, the most recent being the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District trial in 2005. Part of the judges conclusion, who incidentally was a church going, George Bush appointed republican -

We have concluded that Intelligent Design is not science, and moreover that I.D. cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious antecedents.

Perhaps you missed the word "credible".

Here's but a small sample from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Baugh
Both scientists and creationists have criticized Baugh's claims. In 1982–1984, several scientists, including J.R. Cole, L.R. Godfrey, R.J. Hastings, and S.D. Schafersman, examined Baugh's purported "mantracks" as well as others provided by creationists in the Glen Rose Formation.[12] In the course of the examination "Baugh contradicted his own earlier reports of the locations of key discoveries" and many of the supposed prints "lacked human characteristics."[12] After a three year investigation of the tracks and Baugh's specimens, the scientists concluded there was no evidence of any of Baugh's claims or any "dinosaur-man tracks".[12]

On September 27, 1984, Al West, a Baugh co-worker for two years, who followed the mantrack claims since 1974, and friend of Glen Kuban, publicly announced that Baugh "never had evidence for manprints as claimed.[12] Gayle Golden, writer for The Dallas Morning News, reported that Baugh "paid $10,000 for his Moab skeleton and confirmed that Baugh knew at their purchase that the bones had already been dated at 200-300 years. However Baugh later claimed that the bones were found in Cretaceous deposits."[12]

Baugh has claimed several degrees, at one point professing to earning three doctorates.[28] All three "doctorates" are from unaccredited "schools." One is an honorary "Doctor of Philosophy in Theology" from the non-accredited California Graduate School of Theology. His 1989 "doctorate" and Masters Degree in Archaeology comes from the non-accredited Pacific International University, of which Baugh was the president.[28] His dissertation titled "Academic Justification for Voluntary Inclusion of Scientific Creation in Public Classroom Curricula, Supported by Evidence that Man and Dinosaurs Were Contemporary" was reviewed by Brett Vickers who criticized its "descriptions of his field-work on the Paluxy river 'man-tracks', speculation about Charles Darwin's religious beliefs and phobias, and biblical evidence of Adam's mental excellence."[29] In 2005, Baugh completed a doctorate in Theology from the unaccredited Louisiana Baptist University.[30]

Sounds like the type of charlatan that only the biggest fools would give credence to. Maybe RJ will have something.

Your post only shows your lack of education. Evolution has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Your statements only go to show to the world how far out of it you are. A question I have never seen answered is, if there is intelligent design, who designed the designer?
