the appearence of an angel or devil or both plz, if you happen to know. is there a description in the bible? if so id like to know because i want to draw one.
Originally posted by EcstremeVenomWhile we run into both in the Bible, you'll find that the writers don't get into descriptive appearances. A theophony occurs in a variety of forms and the intent is symbolic as much as anything else so that's why you find Satan taking the form of a serpent or an angel of God appearing as a burning bush. By and large our western ideas of angels and devils stems from the surrounding apocryphal angelogy and demonology writings and accounts.

Originally posted by EcstremeVenomThere are lots of places in the Bible where a description is given of angels. I think it's a good idea to draw one. But your going to have to do your homework. If you really want to draw an angel, then find in the Bible where the descriptions are given. With a computer it should be easy.

Originally posted by josephwJoseph is right, with a computer it should be easy to find what you are looking for in scripture. I use e-Sword, it is a free download of the Bible with other good features like the study notes, topic notes(these are where you put your own thoughts), the Strongs dictionary, other versons of the Bible, ect. Here is a link to their download page:

From Ezekiel's description of them (1;10; 41:18, 19), [cherubim] appear to have been compound figures, unlike any real object in nature; artificial images possessing the features and properties of several animals.
