Was Jesus placed on a cross or a stake? I was noticing that J-Dubs believe that Christ was hung from a stake rather than a cross. The Watchtower.org states official J-dub beliefs and this is one of them. What does history say? How did Romans crucify people? This is a subject I'm not 100% on.

I've always though about the cross. Its kinda like hanging an electric chair around your neck. On the contrary however it I guess it should be the symbol that reminds of what Christ did. Obviously we don't want to worship the symbol though.

I've often thought why some churches have a bloody and dying, tortured , jew nailed to a cross . Blood running down in his neck in streaks. Very weird, if you think about it.

Originally posted by robbie carrobieAlso a lot of non christians were hung on the torture contraptions. If anything it is the opposite of a symbol of love. I can not see Daniels cross through this computer screen but I can tell Daniel is truly a person of love and compassion for the fellow man.
but Daniel my friend, the cross is not the identifying mark of true Christianity, love is.
