conceptually its quite interesting. As you may or may not be aware Christians are counselled to refrain from violence. Just a single example will suffice although there are many.
1 Tim 3:3 - The overseer should therefore be irreprehensible. . . . not a drunkard, not violent.
However it seems self evident that Christians are not pacifists in the broadest sense of the term because the Bible itself states that violence can be used when all other solutions are exhausted. For example at the Battle of Armageddon, yet future, when God will fight against those who oppose his universal sovereignty. Christ himself is depicted as an avenging angel, on a white horse with a sword etc
what is the discerning person to make of it?
In the case of an arrogant man I doubt any amount of violence will suffice to render him devoid of his arrogance. He needs to learn humility some other way.
