Nemesio...do you realize that no matter how intelligent you are, the Bible will be gibberish to you until you admit to God that you need His spirit for discernment?
This stance sounds very much like the old catholic tradition of denying the congregation the right to read the bible. They used to have to go to a priest and have it 'interpreted' for them.

You are implying that believers accurately portray the views of 'the head of the religion.' From the misinterpretation of the bible that many of your literalist friends do at this site, I can hardly say that you or they portray the views of 'the head of the religion'. And may I ask, if you are not Catholic or Anglican, who is the 'head of your religion' Mr Hill?
