    Why?

What makes us special and gives us point-giving powers to gods?

    Does anything have a point?

Why couldn't a god make up it's own point and purpose just as we can?

    Nonsense.

God cannot imbue me with any meaning. Only I can imbue myself with meaning.

If I am pointless without god then I am also pointless with god.

And you keep talking about properties of a being you admit you have no evidence for
even the existence of. You are in short just making stuff up.

Your faith is neither evidence nor justification for any claim about reality, let alone claims
about a being who's very existence is neither demonstrated or likely.

We get along fine without god, we have meaning without god. OUR meaning.

    Which is infinitely better.

If "God gets along just fine without man. Unlike man, He is complete, in and of Himself," then I wonder what is the point of having created man?

Not that I am asserting there is none, I just wonder what the traditional theistic answers to this question are.

One answer I find (if point means purpose) is at
    http://www.uniquebiblestudy.com/bible-study-guide-lessons-08d.htm

and the alphabetically numbered links from it:

    Comments:

    quote:

Man was created and chosen by God for Himself.

    For what purpose?
"To serve the Lord God with gladness" is to fulfill the very purpose of man's existence.

For man to "serve the Lord God with gladness", he must acknowledge:

    that the Lord is God
that he was made by God and not by man himself.
that he was created according to the image of God (Gen.1:27)
than man is not to rule over himself for it is God who will rule over him because they are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
that despite the power he enjoy in this life, his status as a creature and mere recipient of God's blessings does not change (Q&A 08C.1)
that God is always there, that God is indispensable in his life. He needs the Lord in every aspect of his life. (Topic 08C)
