If we had a "report spam" button, maybe 5 or 10 users could trigger a robomod deletion. That'd be nice.

And would probably be misused by the clan-warriors...so it should really be restricted to the GF and only chess fora.

Even that wouldn't stop the clan-freaks, they'd just make it difficult for their "enemies" to post in GF and Only Chess. Unless the IDs of button-users are public, so that undeserving victims could get even ...

Maybe we frequent readers/posters could form a round-the-clock spamwatch volunteer team instead. We'd need to be given the power to delete the spam once someone else had reported it.

Or alternatively, robomod could remove it to a PossiblySpam folder, so that we wouldn't have it cluttering up the pages we want to read.

Good idea.

We had a new one.

The site idea has been: allow pkayers without moves not to post anywhere save the help forum.

That would tend to wreck the Help Forum, I suspect. We could do the "no-moves" restriction by providing a Welcome Helper (aka Greeter). Since they're human volunteers wanting to do good things for the site, all that would be needed seems to be "allow forum access" and "prevent forum access" buttons for the Greeter to use.
