It depends on a number of factors including what you want to do on it (apps), how much money you feel like spending, how important the status symbol aspect is to you etc. There is no one size fits all solution.
I got a blackberry for my son because the data charges are a fixed amount per month.
I personally have a phone that just does phone calls. I do all my computing on a desktop.

I'm a phone geek I think I'm leaning towards the HTC I don't like Apples proprietary ways. I know the i phone is a status symbol but the HTC has a faster processor and I use my phone for everything. I don't care about if the phone can talk to me either LOL I like what I see from android OS and apps
