The OP says all 5 letters were found in one place. Saying "scattered through the universe" misrepresents the finding.

If all 5 letters were found on a rock floating in space, then why not on earth, in a more life-friendly atmosphere? This discovery shows that the components to create life may have been present on earth, perhaps brought to this planet by asteroids hitting earth.

You are saying that when you find a letter, it represents a chemical, and that chemical must be able to react properly; this is where the sequence comes in. That sequence, even if it moves towards life, is on the clock to take the next step before it degrades; that is not a billion-year waiting period, but hours. There are also several competing chemical reactions, all wanting to react without any regard for whether it moves towards life or not, and, from your point of view, a long series of sequences must happen properly without the reactions being diluted by non-friendly chemicals.

No one I know disputes that the chemicals were not present on Earth; who cares if they arrive from outer space? We acknowledge they are here, but the arrangement is for informational purposes to build life’s processes.

I didn’t say 4 billion years. I don’t bother with age since it isn’t a matter of age; it is a matter of timing. What has to be joined together must begin and continue along the path towards building and continuing life. More time doesn’t help if the fallout of a bad move can end it.

You have nothing to hang your hat on with that! We are here, is a claim that can be used by people who believe we are here due to design as well. Nothing about that points to one view over another.

Now if you can show where the information in the informational instructions came from without agency you would have something.

I give the reasoning in my posts, while you simply saying you do not accept it, without giving your reasons by addressing my points is missing.

Flat earthers also give "reasoning" for their beliefs. They are often unable to back up any of it.

You're using the same tactic they do to excuse their lack of evidence for their claims.

Yes, and what chemical reactions do you have in mind remains viable for a billion years, if it happens in the midst of other reactions all taking place at once?

As already shown, according to the article in the OP, the chemical compounds remained preserved for that long.

Again, it is not a matter of the chemicals being available; no one debates that. It is the information found in the sequential arrangement of material, which is not determined by a letter but by the coded sequence. You can mix letters all day long; they will never fall out, so they write a book. How long is a DNA strand in each cell? It is about getting the right chemicals to come together properly without contamination from competing reactions. You want to simplify a highly complex process to suggest it could happen by lucky happenstance, over and over again, to get to what, 3.2 billion base pairs, and you’re happy seeing a letter?
