Hello,

I think it's 9362 because it is the only number that the sum of the 2 first digits doesn't equal 10 and the sum of the 2 last digits doesn't equal 10.

8273 : 8+2=10 7+3=10
9146: 9+1=10 4+6=10
etc.

9362: 9+3=12 6+2=8

hiya the answer is 9362 because the first two digits of the remaining number add up to 10 whereas this one doesn't!
let me know if i'm right

Yes, guys. You are absolutely right.

Five points for Iamatigers strong intuition.

Ten points for Milou and Deakus, because you also gave the reason why.

i say 77798.
look at the sequence each of the others forms when broken down into consecutive pairs:
89, 90, and the tens digit of 91; 69, 70, 7[1]; 61, 62, 6[3]; 43, 44, 4[5]; and 28, 29, 3[0]. but to follow that pattern, 77798 would have to be either 77787[9] or 78798[0].
right?

Not difficult to work out but quite an interesting number fact. There is only one number in the English language that when spelt, all the letters are in the correct alphabetical sequence. (E.g. ONE sequenced alphabetically = E N O)🙂

i know it but will not post it here until some of the others have gotten a shot at it.
took me a little while! 🙂
two examples of this in german are "eins" (one) and "acht" (eight); there may be others.
in spanish, the obvious one is "dos" (two), but i don't know all of the numbers in that language.
french has two easy ones: "deux" (two) and "cinq" (five).
i'm sure there are some in most other languages bu ti'm no tthinking of any.

An interesting number fact for all the English still crowing about the Rugby World Cup. 37 points were scored in the match. Subtracted from 2003 the year of the final, equals 1966, the year England last won a world cup. 😀
