Sorry guys, submitted before I was done and got distracted at work. Here is the puzzle:

B - Black
b - Brown
r - Red
o - Orange
y - Yellow
g - Green
i - Indego (Blue)
v - Violet
s - Silver (grey)
w - White

X ( Y Z ) indicates Y and Z colored stripes on a X colored background:

g (b v g bw b)
y (rB bo g bw bw)
r (bw g o bs g)
i (bs g i rb by)

I wish I could imbed images, it would be a lot more entertaining that way.

It's very similar to your last puzzle, Fabian. Determine the pattern, find the "answer". In this case it is an English word or phrase.

*edit* I guess some background may be necessary. I solved this puzzle in a puzzle scavenger hunt where we were not told what the puzzles were. There are four distinct and randomly ordered objects: Tubes that are colored as described above.

so the 4 color formulas are for objects?

Yes,

g (b v g bw b)

describes a green object that has a brown stripe, a violet stripe, a green stripe, brown and white stripes next to each other, and a brown stripe. Here is a link:

You're definitely a quick one. The only problem with your solution is that bB isn't really a background color.

I have an extension of this puzzle I'll post a little later if you're interested.

Anyone else have any insights?

Do you notice any patterns in ordering in my first post?

For iamatiger, or anyone else interested, here is an extended version of the puzzle. The rules are slightly different, and there's a little more to it:
