don't laugh but is it, rook e1, rook e3, rook e1, if e3 and e1 is continued there's nothing black can do to win, white king blocks pawn from other side with white king h8

i'm not familiar with the number thing so i dont know what that means that's why i post with a FEN lol - anyways this is my new theory sorry about the duplicate FEN

keeping sure the king stays on the right side by keeping the rook on the same horizontal line moving only on black square black can get the king on the other side but if it did i think black would lose

You need to find blacks replies, also you put the white King on h8, it should be on g8. 😉

Basically black is threatening to play ..Bf1 and Queen. How can white stop the pawn?

Don't worry if you post something incorrect, this is really tricky! I certainly didn't solve it! 🙂

I think I've got the basic idea: by putting the bishop at f1, black constricts the movement of his future queen, and if the white rook can attack her from behind (on the h-file), she can't escape because if she goes to g1, rook to the g-file+ wins the queen.

Is that right?

I need the precise line. What is whites first move?

I'm not sure. It must be a waiting move. If it's the king, it must be Kh8, because if the king moves towards the central files, it can't defend the rook on the h-file. But maybe a waiting rook move.

Edit: Sorry I ruled out Kg7 incorrectly. So all I can rule out is Kf8 and Kf7.
