Chessbase site is showing a game of a former professional chess player who is now a professor of economics in Harvard: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=5322

I must confess I didn't understand anything about this game. Anyone can explain why white sac the queen and why black returned it? 😕

EDIT: Well, maybe it's just one of theirs april's fool jokes. 😛

I suppose if you had seen some of the games on RHP that I have
then nothing would surpirse you.

It's not a very bright 'joke' game but the article that preceeds is
the feeder. Here is the game without the deep notes.

The game was real as indicated in the link below. White offered Black a draw 1.c4 before the game, Black accepted; they were forced to replay it, so they played 1.Nf3 Nf6 2. Ng1 Ng8 3.Nf3 Nf6 4. Ng1 Ng8 but they were forced to play again...

So white offered his pieces, so Black not wishing to win in such fashion, returned them, offered a draw which was accepted, the game was forced to be played again(!), and White decided to forfeit.
