I played a speculative sac on f7, thought I had a good game, and had a mate in two, but somehow I must have put the queen on e4 instead of e5, and hung it.

Man is sucks when you have all the initiative and blunder a big piece. I've done this many times before, but of course you are a better player. Perhaps the lesson is that when you are so obviously in control you have to make absolutely sure your play is sound. So easy to belive that tempo and position gaurantee sucess.

It wasn't just the initiative- it was a mate in two! I just mouse slipped, and didn't realize my queen was on the wrong square. I went from "Where'd my queen go?" to LOL!

You certainly have a good sense of humor indeed! Nothing to do but laugh at that point. Better than being up three minor pieces and two major ones and still lose on time during blitz! I did that once yahoo and got so mad I was glad it was online and not OTB!

The people in Haiti and the guys serving in Afghanistan have real issues- if blowing a beautiful attack and dropping my queen in an internet chess game is the worst part of my day, life isn't too bad.
And think of the joy I brought to the other guy! Manna from heaven!

That is the flip side we never think of. I agree we need to place perspective on what happens to be just a game. Haitians have a world of issues, but we are all trying to help in some way or other.
It would be cool to hear what your opponent thinks. BTW your attack was spirited, lively, well thought out and only lacked being carried to fruition. You play well and have nothing to be ashamed of. At least, unlike yahoochess, there are no takebacks! I played a guy once who hung his queen and wanted a takeback and got ticked off when I said no way!
