Joined 27 Oct '05 Moves 158564 Does anyone have any recommendations for a book on the scotch? I have been playing it without any real guidance lately, and while I like the opening, I think I need a few more ideas before Itry it in an OTB tournament.

what do yo uthink of the line
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 exd 4. Nxd Bc5 5. Be3 Qf6 6. Nb4!?
It works well in blitz but I am not sure of it's soundness overall.

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Nxd4 Bc5 5.Nxc6 Qf6 threatening mate on f2 and the knight on c6. 😀
