Naturally, I was being sarcastic.

Is there somewhere else with live broadcasts besides ICC? Those guys are annoying idiots.

FYI, Game 1 was a pretty lifeless draw.

Actually I'm still a member there from buying Fritz 10 earlier this year.

Who's doing the commentary there?

No commentary on playchess this time. They have some sort of agreement with FOIDOS.

Must be the worst job in the world having to commentate on that sort of game. I mean, what would you say for 4 hours...?

I think that if you would replace any of those players with any weak GM(even I can do that job for while) without letting the opponent know, the weaker side will still get draws all the time as white(and maybe even as black, hihi)

I log in as a guest simply to follow the moves. Who's commenting I don't know.

For those of you who didn't see, Anand surprised all by varying from his "beloved" 1.e4 and playing 1.d4 instead. I haven't even looked at the game yet but it sounds like it was fairly interesting.

Not really; it's a pretty standard Nimzo and drawn after 32 moves.

I don't think 4. f3 is standard nimzo, just a little offbeat. I played it for awhile because it's much more volatile than standard nimzo lines.

The opening transposed back into a Samisch Variation which is very common.

It seemed like Anand should have won, as he had a better position and they were both low on time. That's usually where he excels.

Anand was in time trouble and did not want to take a risk. Taking into account that for human its not so easy to exploit extra pawn (in final position Black has some counter play) his decision is understandable.

Can somebody explain why Kramnik gave up the pawn? i'm obviously missing something. The position in that second game seemed far too unbalanced to be drawn. There really should be something that prevents players agreeing the draw in such situations.
