Rooks on h1 and h8 are hanging the moment g2 or g7 is played.
Not just the rooks. b3, g6; Bb2, Bg7 - oops... Nobody makes that mistake more than once.

Not at all. I can't find any Reinfeld Complete Strategy book. Silman, yes (which is quite a bit more advanced), but not Reinfeld.

Reinfeld's book was first published as The Complete Books of Chess Stratagems, not Strategy. Perhaps The Second Evil Empire is getting it confused with that? I can certainly find that title on the web. Do note that both titles are long out of print, and you'll have to get them second-hand. But they were popular, so that shouldn't be too hard.

Hi Torten.

I've just deleted the post I had written (and saved it).
I've come across something very instructive and good so I'll blog it.
I can use pics. and other gimmicks....looking forward to doing it and finding
more examples.

(found a trick that has caught 32 good players OTB and yet when
the exact same postion was reached on here 34 out of 35 players missed it
and the one player who stumpled upon it failed to see the idea and lost.)

Cheers. Hopefully have your answer by Sunday night.
