More Chessercizes! Checkmate (book of puzzles) by Bruce Pandolfini
If you want CD's, Chess Tactics for Beginners by Convekta's a great one (puzzles)

"The Art of Checkmate" is good for learning mating patterns. The one I had was only in descriptive notation though, dont know if it is available in algebraic. I also cant remember if it was by Victor Renaud or Eugene Znosko-Borovsky.
It is available only in descriptive, and is by far the best book of its type.
