Not so...
By definition a trap in chess presents a risk to the trapper.

The correct criteria for setting an opening trap is that the trap setting move must
contain an element of risk should your opponent not fall for it. -greenpawn34

I'm not the one who signed him up to play so many games, so it's his own fault for being a simul player.
Remember the words of Bowmann:
"War is war loser!"
I see you have no TO losses and you are no stranger to clicking the skull yourself.
As for patting myself, what I do in my bathroom is my own business pal. 😛

Busted! Are people suddenly finding religion, or are they just oblivious to their own habits? Geez.

Hi CP.

That is correct, (IMO anyway).
That is because you can play a good move and it may contain 'pitfalls'
for you opponent to walk into but you never played it expecting him to
fall into such a hole. It's a good solid move.

But USArmyParatrooper is I think also correct.
A cheap trap. No such thing. What is cheap about setting a trap?
I know some clutch at straws traps are called cheapo's but that is just slang.

You can have a good trap (deep, plausible but unsound play).

Setting a chess trap is like getting married.
Some work, some dont.
Very often you wish you did not set trap at all because you are trapped in a marriage.

I'm married.....that was a bad move. 😉

Cheap meaning stuff like N forks, back ranks, pinning the Q to the K, you know, the good stuff. 🙂 The stuff we live for IMHO anyway.
