Some of you want me to skip the first uninterested moves of the game. The first interesting move is however a very subjective matter. So my plan is to let you find out yourselves which is the first truly interesting move. I'll stick with my plan to give you one, and one only, move a day.

Here comes the first move of the game, interesting or not:

black is basically admitting defeat by playing that move...the french in my opinion is too passive...if black makes one single mistake he is finished...here is a game to prove it.

All that proves is that a patzer can beat another patzer.

Anyways, it was a joke, and this is probably not the best place to debate the merits of the french (unless it's actually played.)

My comment was a joke. About the resignation I mean -- I meant the patzer one.

I'm hoping c5, but then I'm biased. Otherwise a Ruy Lopez. Why do do so many (white) players shy away from it and play Bc4 instead?

I think...but don't quote me...that Bc4 is sharper and more tactical...and with the time controls becoming shorter and shorter players need to play sharper openings.

I hope for either a Ruy Lopez or a Sicilian. But any other can be interesting too.
