Vishy took the rook very quickly but clearly has been outprepared by Topalov. It looks scary for White ... but then that's why I wouldn't have taken the rook. I think we can assume that Anand has a better understanding of the material v development balance than me.

The trouble is even if he can find his way through the complications and come out with a theoretical plus he could be so far behind on time that he won't be able to exploit it. I suspect we're going deep into Toppy's notebook today.

... and a potentially very big passed pawn, an exposed white king with his own very safe and not to mention an hour lead on the clock.

oh man. 20...Re8 and topalov's still using like 2 seconds.

2 good pawns for a Knight - the game is still in the pot.
(though material wise it is just one pawn for a Knight)

If it gets too messy Vishy can sac back a piece for the pawn(s).

Have to go out now. Gut feel for Vishy, think Black needs a mistake to
get in from here (move 20).
