Will we ever reach the stage where players will refrain to perform at their best out of fear of being booted?

Sometimes I think Kasparov is right after all and advanced chess is the only future the game has.
I hope I do not live to see it 😞

PS: unless it happens within 50 years, then I'd rather live to see it after all 😉

to me having all internet chess being advanced chess would be the same as whats happened in music with the overuse of autotune...

even if this is the most popular at some point there will still be a large group of people that like to play normal and use their brainpower and nothing else

What's the fun in doing what a computer tells you to do? Sure, ask the computer what you did wrong and find out what's better when needed, but to have entire games decided by a computer is just foolish.

I'm convinced by the matchup system to catch cheats. I believe unless you cheat, you have no reason to worry about.

Simply following the computer is not what advanced chess is about.

Regardless,I agree it's no fun

Maybe I'm getting this wrong too.

"Will we ever reach the stage where players will refrain to perform at their best out of fear of being booted?"

To me it seems like this could be interpreted in 2 ways:

Will we ever reach the stage where players...

1)cheat, but try to not to make engine's top 3 moves to escape the system.

2)would be so strong that their best performance would be evaluated by the system as cheating, so they refrain to perform at their best.

I suppose you're referring to the first situation then? Maybe that's what we misunderstood.

I see now.My mistake, again.I'll try to say it more clear. Not my strong suit I'm afraid 😀

Ok,I don't know how the various teams on all the chessplaying sites determine who cheats and who is legitimate.Few people do,and with good reason.
But I think we can assume a number of innocent players have been marked as well as a number of bandits remain untouched. After all, perfection is not of this world.
Now add all the accusations and mud slinging by sore losers and I was just wondering if it will reach a stage where very strong honest players become afraid to be marked a cheater.
Unaware as they are of how this is determined and suspected by the community simply by their playing strength.
Seems possible,no?

My apologies if it's still not clear. It's chaos inside my head so when I speak coherency is not always possible 😳
