I went to a weekend chess tournament around 1981 in California and saw Peter Falk there. I remember Seirawan was playing on board 1 against Jack Peters (I think) and Falk pulled a chair mext to their table and started watching their game. It was funny because it was roped off. No one said anything though.

P.S. Yes, he wore his famous trench coat.😀

Bogart was a member of California Chess Association, both as a player (candidate for National master) and referee. He used to play blitz in some LA club, but it was probably the part of his secret agent-activities. His wife, however, never played chess. Neither did Napoleon and Che Gevara; their "games" are pure invention. Lenin did not play chess either... 😉
