your previous suggestion of playing Bd8-e7-d8 indefinetly fails to
1. Be4 Be7 2. Bf3 Bd8 3. Kg6 Be7 4. Kf7 Bd8 5. Bg4 Be7? 6.c5+ bc 7.dxc5+ +-

i think that because the black bishop has so little space white can either win the bishop or the f,g pawns giving white a two pawn advantage with pawns on both side of the board.

this is the key position:

Black on move and in zuzgwang....

Bc7? Ke8
Kc7? c5

the only other move is f3.

f3 Bxf3 g4 [Bxg4 Bg5] hxg4 Bg5 Bg2? Be3 d5 Bg5 Kg6 Bd8 g5 1-0

that is, unless there is a better defence.

Maybe just post the bishop on e7, then move the king back to d8? After the c5 break, bxc5, dxc5, Bxc5, Kxg5, then Bishop f2 with draw.
Black brings his king to b6 to blockade, and the bishop can dance on that little diagnol protecting the h-pawn. White can't make any progress since the dark squares are untouchable.

Your line with f3 is black's only try.

I think white can win.

Someone look at my line, cause that looks dead draw ! 🙂

Yah, and if White trys to bring his king to the kingside, just shift the bishop from e7 to d6, and transfer the king to c7 when he goes Ke4.

I don't see why that doesn't work. I'm not playing this out on a board, but it sure looks like it.

This is a textbook draw.

if you try this white moves his king to d5 prior to playing c5 like this.
1. Be4 Be7 2. Bf3 Kc7 3. Ke6 Kd8 4. Kd5 Kc7 5. c5 Bf8 6. cxb6+ Kxb6 7. Ke6 +-

It's a draw. I'd bet money on it. If someone really wants to prove it one way or the other then play a set piece. It's a draw though.

No need to go Kc7 when Kd7 is better.

yeah, that is even simpler draw.

nice idea but white has a trick up his sleeve:
1.Be4 Bc7! 2.Bf3 Bd8 3.Bg4 Bc7 4.Kf6!! Bd8+ 5.Kf7! zugzwang position!!!
