I think the best line is,
1.f4 otherwise black plays g5 and game is drawn. h4 not good since black will play Ke6-Ke5 and again it'll be a draw.
1... h5 since white will win with g4.
2. Ke3 Ke6
3. g3 to prevent h4.
3.... Kf5
4.h3 and after Kf3 white wins with g4

in the line played at the actual game white cannot play h3 and prevent Kg4 at 4th move since 4...h4 5.gxh4 Kxf4 so Ke3 instead of Kd3 is the key move for winning the game
