Post games that you managed to draw or win against players that you feel would normally beat you the majority of the time.

He could have gotten the win, and was only one move away from it but agreed on a draw. Not sure why.

Game 1578924

I won because he didn't spot my last move for some reason.

Game 1460078

The position got really closed on this one, I'm surprised I managed to pull out the draw.

Game 1459370

A really disappointing game for me, because I was actually winning and had to settle for the draw. Too anxious for the win I guess.

player about 200 points higher than me.
I played the ruy lopez and fell for the noah's ark trap,
so I was a bishop down from the start, sacced the bishop on f7
and held on for dear life...

The thing is - the game came down to King vs King, and it was drawn,
not another piece on the board. A great fight if I may say so!
I thought near the end that I could have won, still unsure...

How would he have gotten a win? You had perpetual check or better if white tries to avoid it.

White can't capture a bishop on move 35.

Now that I look closer at it, I see that I did have perpetual check. I thought he could escape it somehow.

If he had done Nxd6, I would have responded with Rxf2. Maybe that made him nervous for some reason.

The first game was a draw because you could put him in check for ever. There was no square that the king could move to to avoid check so he has to accept a draw. Also, you could have potentially set up a pin against his Queen if he had accidentally wandered onto the c1-h6 diagonal. 😉
